Live In Hollywood is the second DVD by the Mexican group RBD. Recording of an acoustic concert at the legendary Pantages Theater in Los Angeles, California. The repertoire is focused on the songs from the album Nuestro Amor, also bringing a medley of 3 hits from the previous album. The arrangements are clearly influenced by Latin rhythms such as cumbia and bossa nova.

Because we're only doing this once, and because we know not everyone could get tickets, we are proud to announce the livestream of our sold out 'Rohnert Park' show at The Hollywood Palladium, directed by our old friend Lance Bangs.

IT CAME FROM AQUARIUS RECORDS tells the story about the San Francisco based independent record store, Aquarius Records. Having closed in 2016 after 47 years, this small apartment-sized store championed local, underground, independent, and challenging music to the masses - most memorably with their infamous bi-weekly, college essay-length, new-release lists. Six years in the making, interviewing collectors, musicians, and store owners, the film has a very personal angle, with lots of behind-the-scenes footage (and drama) that shows both the joy and excruciating stress that comes with running — and closing — a store like this, helped in no part by the changing city around them.

A slightly ironical description of the colony of German artists in Los Angeles, who had to leave their country during the Nazi-regime. A young playwriter (von Horvath) joins them and finds out, that there are gaps between the artistical attitudes and the real live behavior of authors like Thomas or Heinrich Mann, Lion Feuchtwanger or Bertold Brecht.

“It may be worse than Portugal,” observes cinematographer Henri Alekan about a Los Angeles film lab while on the set of Wim Wenders’ The State of Things (1984). A legendary production and a transitional work for the New German Cinema director as his work became increasingly international, Wenders set out to make a film about filmmaking as funding stalled on the American production of Hammett. The State of Things deals with American and European sensibilities about cinema, and he enlisted Lachman to film and document the film being made in Los Angeles. Made for German television, completed in 1985 and unseen outside of Germany, Lachman’s portrait of Wenders at work features striking filmmaking and location photography of Los Angeles in the 1980s, and serves as a candid glimpse into European encounters with American culture at the time.

This daytime serial dramatized the power struggles and personal machinations between two feuding political families the wealthy Cleggs and middle-class McCandlesses. Storylines developed from the star-crossed romance between Julie Clegg and Tyler McCandless, which re-activated a lifetime feud between their respective families. In the series` final year, the political intrigue expanded internationally, as several characters became involved in the problems of the war-torn, Middle Eastern nation of Baraqu.
